Assembly
It comes in a long and heavy box. You will need another person to carry it with you. I suggest asking the delivery guys to carry the box into the living room for you. To my relief, the wood panels and fabric came in good condition.
The setup was a straightforward process. The directions were easy to follow. It is highly recommended that 2 people assemble this sofa. An extra hand would go a long way. Although I can imagine putting together by myself, I’m sure it would have taken me twice as long as it took us both to assemble.
Comfort
I wouldn’t consider the sofa plush but it is comfortable to sit on. The cushion is on the stiffer side. I don’t mind that at all. I’m sure it would get softer as we use it. It just needs a little breaking in. Throw pillows would provide more comfort.
My favorite part about this couch is the pillows on the side. They are the perfect replacement for armrests.
One of my main criteria for choosing my couch is the width. Although we rarely have guests over, I want to have as much space as possible for our own comfort.
It sits at a good height from the ground. I and my fiance are both pretty tall, so that’s a big plus for us. It’s quite often that we get to sit on sofas that are too low. It’s as if they were made for children. That forces us to bend our knees in an uncomfortable angle.
Durability
The sofa doesn’t wobble at all. You don’t need to have it on a carpet. The wood legs won’t scratch the floor unless you push it across the floor. If you need to move it, please ask someone to help you and lift it up instead. It’s not that heavy anyway.
The fabric feels good against the skin. It feels like it is a strong material and doesn’t wear out easily. I made sure not to get a leather sofa because I know they tend to peel over time. The fabric is not a pain to clean. I normally get stains out with little effort.
The wood legs are solid. At the same time, they look posh. They aren’t that visible but the slanted legs give the couch a modern vibe. The brown legs look good with the beige couch.
The tufting details add depth to the couch. Both the back and seat have them. They make the sofa look sophisticated and expensive.
Final Thoughts
At the price of less than $350, this sofa gives great value for your money. For the price point, it is very well constructed. The quality far exceeded my expectations. For the record, I didn’t expect a lot from this couch. Getting furniture online isn’t my cup of tea. It was my fiance who convinced me to check out Amazon. I must say that my first time to shop in Amazon is a pleasant experience.
